My A/C Unit freezes up, why does it do this? |
A/C systems can freeze up for a variety of reasons. The most common causes are reduced air flow and system refrigerant charge. Check your filter to make sure it is clean. Secondly, your system may be low on charge, which may indicate a refrigerant leak. |

2. |
Certain rooms in my home stay hot. Do I need a bigger unit? |
Perhaps! But! It is best to have a reputable contractor perform a heat load analysis of your home to make sure the unit is properly sized. Sometimes the proper fix is an air balance to insure that all rooms receive the proper amount of air flow. Proper airflow is usually the first thing to consider especially if the unit had cooled properly in the past. Finally oversizing equipment can create more problems with maintaining proper humidity levels in your home. |

My child has asthma, can a better filter help? |
Absolutely! Please visit our Indoor Air Quality page for more information! |

4. |
Will a programmable thermostat really save me money? |
Yes! Raising the temperature a few degrees during unoccupied periods of time in your home will save money. |
|
5. |
My digital thermostat is blank, do I need to replace it? |
Perhaps but not usually. You might try replacing the batteries in it first as some thermostats work on battery power. |

6. |
How often should I service my system? |
Like your vehicle, your a/c system requires periodic service. Your home comfort system may well be the third most expensive thing you will ever buy. Periodic service is not only required, it is necessary to keep your warranty in effect. Our ESP policy is setup to service your equipment in the spring and in the fall. Thats two yearly services plus saving you up to 15% on parts should they be needed. |
